On this Veterans Day, we'd like to lift up the important work of Service Women's Action Network. SWAN is the leading U.S. organization that focuses on gender-specific needs and issues faced by women in the U.S. military. They challenge institutions and cultural norms that deny equal opportunities, protections and benefits to service members and veterans. SWAN addresses the pervasive problems of sexual assault and military sexual trauma in the United States Armed Force by advocating for better victims’ protections and increasing individual and institutional accountability.

Rest in Peace Julie Pacheco. Our condolences to Julie's friends and family and we are sending comfort to the Franciscan Center and Paul’s Place where Julie visited. Love to everyone impacted by this tragedy. She was murdered after only recently getting housing.
